Offloading Service
Saunas that are too large to ship with a standard Freight Carrier must ship by a flatbed truck service. The customer is responsible for offloading the unit from the truck. The common methods are below:
- Piece-by-piece offloads: The customer should have a group of 2-4 people to assist with the offload. This procedure involves unpackaging the sauna on the trailer and offloading each component by hand. This typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on the model sauna.
- Forklift offload: If the customer has access to a forklift, they can offload the complete pallet from the flatbed trailer. This can be done at the sauna destination address, or at a business that may have access to a forklift.
- Offloading Service (White Glove Delivery): Upon purchase, the driver will offload the unit piece by piece on their own, and stack the components at a site within 50′ of where the driver can park. This does not include any part of installation or assembly.
Please note:
- If a driver determines a shipping address to be undeliverable, it is the expectation that the customer have the unit delivered to an alternate more accessible address, pick the unit up at the shipping terminal, or, if available, pay for a white glove service delivery fee.
- Due to significant costs, island deliveries will be quoted and charged for the actual delivery cost. This will include ferry costs and fees.
- If a customer cannot accept delivery and the unit must be returned, the customer will forfeit the initial & return shipping fees, plus a 25% restocking fee.
